ACERIS was organized
to educate medical, legal and regulatory professionals and
interested individuals in the toxicological, pharmacological
and environmental effects of chemicals, drugs, foods and other
natural compounds on human health.
Another core mission of ACERIS is to assist consumers and
the companies who sell to them by evaluating products and
inspecting the manufacturing facilities where they are produced.
The product evaluation process includes reviewing the accuracy
of claim made on the labels, research to determine product
ingredients and quality, and analysis to determine the overall
safety and efficacy of the product. Then to assure consistent
product quality from batch to batch, ACERIS must also inspect
the manufacturing facilities to verify that they comply
with GMP standards appropriate to the products they manufacture.
This independent scientific and regulatory review process
allows retailers and consumers to have confidence in the
products they promote or consume
